Dictionaries & Kanji

Have you tried JEDict? It's on these Macs. Do you know the SKIP code system for kanji? It's a nice system for foreigners who don't understand radicals (部首). We look at the kanji an decide whether it's a left-right, top-bottom, enclosing, or other type, and give it a 1, 2, 3, or 4 accordingly, then count the strokes in the first part and then in the second part to give 2 more numbers. Now we're talking about Japanese, I should mention again Jim Breen's dictionary and translation pages, and Eijiro. Jim Breen's site has a keitai translation page, but I don't know how it works. Let me know if you try it out!
