By now everyone should be fairly confident with blogging. If there are any remaining problems let's sort them out today.
The first deadline was Monday 24th April (at least 5 blog posts, including at least 1 book review). Were you on time?
Today we start the first essay. There is no class next week so you will have to finish the essay by yourselves. The deadline for the first essay is May 8th. Before that the 2nd book review is due on May 1st.
Check the assignment deadlines again on the syllabus I gave you on the first class. Each missed assignment takes 5 points off your maximum possible score. This penalty will be applied from the 2nd deadline on May 1st. So, if you missed the 1st deadline because of technical problems you're still OK. But you need to make sure you're up-to-date by May 1st. And a weblog is a place to express yourself, so just the essays and book reviews aren't enough. Try to write about something that interests you whenever possible.
MAY 1st: 2 book reviews + at least 6 other posts!
