I like movies very much. I like many kinds of movies but I guess I like action movies best. Especially, I like stories about the Mafia. Of these, Donnie Brasco is perhaps my favorite.
Donnie Brasco was directed by Mike Newell. He also directed Four Weddings and a Funeral. Although it's a mafia story, the emphasis is on human emotions, just like Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Another attraction for me is the fact that this is a true story. Watching the movie, it is easy to imagine being that person.
The main stars in Donnie Brasco are Al Pacino and Johnny Depp. They are both known as great actors, but I think they do their best work in this movie. Al Pacino often does very noisy roles, but in this movie he is very quiet and sad.
