Today's topic is reading. Everyone knows about the graded readers in the University Library, right? The main kinds are Oxford Bookworms, Cambridge English Readers, and Penguin Readers. Let's use the web to find out more about them and then write about what we did in our blogs.

1. First, visit Cambridge English Readers. Look for the level test. Try level 3. (If there's a problem with the computer, just go on to number 2). On your blog, report your score. Remember to include a link to the Cambridge English Readers site.

2. Still on the Cambridge Readers site, go to the sample chapters section. Choose a level 1 book, download a chapter and read it. Write a short post about it on your blog. Remember to give the title of the book. Was it interesting? Was it easy or difficult? How long did it take to read?

3. Now, please visit Oxford Bookworms. Click on "View All Starters Titles and Components". Look through the books available. Which kind (Comic Strip, Interactive, Narrative) looks most interesting to you? Choose one book that you would like to read. Write a new blog post; write the title of the book and paste in the book explanation. Don't forget to put a link to the Oxford Bookworms website in the blog post.

4. Now look at the Stage 1 books and choose a title that looks interesting. Again, write the title in your blog and copy the book explanation.

5. Do the same with Stage 2.

When you have done all of these activities, you'll have found out about some books, taken a test, and read a chapter of a book. And you will have written five blog posts. I hope you will see how easy it is to write a short blog post. If you include a link, it will be useful for other people.
